Rollercoaster of emotions with opening of the district – hit with tragic death
Question – What could we have done different?
Excited about eBay building announcement – would love to pick your brain about what you can give or ideas – would love to do field trip with you – legacy to the community – more to come on that – Board will meet in October round table to talk about progress and pathways – credentials, degrees, partnerships, excitement from higher education
Public feedback has been positive.
Setting up to be something special – stay at current school and program in
Targeting fall of 2026 to open – with accessibility of Trax & Frontrunner it’s great – first class, state of the art
Great for Gala and other events – auditorium seats about 400 – possible showcases with kids – Ted talks
Founders’ month – lots of activities in the district to support this, did essays to support this, very inspirational
Golf Tournament – excited to support– one of my favorites to attend
Are you connected with Westminster University – looking at pathways that are already credentialed – anything outside of CAPS program gives us accreditation – UVU, SLCC has reached out
Thanks to David for his ideas and his innovation – also reached out to Susan – medical industry with Brian Lines – Susan is fielding those connections – first of many conversations – also want to meet with students to get their take 2025 Event Discussion – Greg Summerhays, Committee Chair
Agree with what Rick said – great opportunity with Innovations Center
We were going to do something different with high profile speaker but with announcement of Innovations Center we will hold off on that event – will do similar event to what we’ve done
Will celebrate past, present, future with this event – announce to people what we will be doing with new building
Location at Zions Tech Center in Midvale – increases our capacity by double and we can bring in more money

We need to up our game and look to increase our sponsorship and if you have a connection to sponsors on spreadsheet, we want you to reach out about increasing sponsorships -want to build in and lean in to innovations center by joining this event as a great way to start this process – talking and marketing this new center – will prepare marketing materials for you to use and share, printed and electronic
Will email spreadsheet as google doc and you can add your name as contact for sponsorship – our goal is to raise $100,000 in sponsorships – next year we want to raise even more

Celebration is priming for 2026 – let them know why they want to be involved in this, start basic and hope they see the value and want to do more in years to come

Let us know keynote or entertainer for this year – dessert dash this year because we would have more room, technology will allow us to have more opportunities for presentations
Any ideas let us know – décor or if you want to be on the committee

Tournament begins at 8 w/breakfast and driving range
Set up with hole signs and tables – be there at 7 allows us to be ready by 8
Shot gun start is at 9 unless frost on the course
8 to 9 we need help with hole sponsors getting to their hole
Someone will be at every hole this year – we ask them to keep it moving
Drinks – they can run a tab and Denise will pay later

First day of school red carpet events – thanks for attending – tv and radio spots
Been doing a lot for our resource closet – about 9 donation drives
Also did a podcast on the needs of the students in the district and how we help
Filling our resource closet – there is a lot of need this
MACU is doing a day of service food bags – at least 400 food bags for us
Katie – homes for heroes grant zoom call – impact of giving back to Heroes – we received $5000 and teachers and other heroes get part of commission
Jade – U of U panel – please attend if you would like and share anything you are doing that you want the CEF Board to know about
Unified Sports are ramping up again – helping fund but on a smaller scale this year, probably just fundraise with a fun run this year – always looking for volunteers, soccer tournament against Jordan is September 23 Herriman High, we will do basketball at CCHS in January, we will also be doing track & field – contact Denise about volunteering
Mila & Clief are still running Lego league for Unified Sports – need tables – gave presentations – chat with Denise about what we can do to help, could help with kits
After golf tournament is Innovation Grants – quick turnaround – October 10 is selection process – will get those to you within a few days to your home to score before the meeting – when we meet you can fight for the ones you want
Fund Bus is October 29 – start at 7:30 till about 2
