Innovation Grants

2020-2021 Innovation Grants

We love supporting our teachers! This year, a year like no other, we are shifting our focus to meet the basic needs of our students, by providing food, clothing, and access to learning.

We will still be supporting teacher projects, as we are able, through DonorsChoose.Org for all grade levels. Items funded by the Foundation through DonorsChoose.Org become the property of the school district.

Click here to learn about DonorsChoose.Org. Need help entering a project? Contact your school Ed Tech Coach, Achievement Coach, or email denise.haycock@canyonsdistrict.org to walk you through the process of creating a profile and entering a project.

We expect to return with Teacher Innovation Grants for the 2021 school year.

What is an Innovation Grant?

Innovation Grants are awarded to recognize and support excellence in teaching by providing funds to enhance elementary, middle school and high school curriculum. Canyons District teachers are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to directly impact the classroom, encourage students and raise the bar on exemplary teaching methods.

All educators in Canyons School District are eligible to apply for funding to implement worthwhile and innovative projects related to student achievement. A grant request for funding of less than $1,000 should be loaded on DonorsChoose.org for private or foundation funding.

Individual teachers, as well as teams of teachers, may submit applications for project funding. If a team of teachers receives a winning grant, the equipment must stay in the school where the grant originated.
