District realizes we are planning for jobs that don’t exist yet. - Questions were raised about CTEC and the future of the current building. Still waiting for
the board to determine the future of the eBay space and how the building will be utilized. - Question about naming opportunities for the building or di[erent conference
rooms/areas of the building. Looking at opportunity for sponsorship and income. - Looking at the overall application for high school students all the way down to the middle
school level. - Connection to the Point and front runner station will help with accessibility. Trax is also
planning on being expanded. - Desire to discuss the opportunity to create a larger space for hosting events and GALA
type events.

with a second from Brenda Suta. The minutes were unanimously approved.
2025 GALA MARKETING- Greg Summerhays, Committee Chair - March 27 at the Zions Technology Center
- Theme will be innovation throughout the years. Past, Present and larger focus on the
Future.
o Using the GALA to share what the future of Canyons will be with the innovation
center.
o Renderings and exciting announcements will be made if possible, to show
excitement of what the new center can o[er.
o Realtor has assets of video and drone footage that was created to help sell the
eBay building. - Focus needs to be on past projects that we have funded and how they have a[ected
students and learning. Instead of a speaker it will be more of a presentation of what has
been and what will be.
o Use the GALA to raise funds to continue to support the innovation of the district.
Money raised will be used to fund the Foundation Innovation Grants
§ This will mean that we focus on other causes for the Golf Tournament. - Denise will be reaching out to previous sponsors to get commitments for the GALA.
o All board members encouraged to reach out to those who might be good options
for sponsors.
o Marketing materials will be available in January for help with sponsorships. - Greg and Denise will be making contact will all board members individually to see what
each board member can o[er
o Goal is 150K as a fundraiser for this year.
o We would like to have 500 people in attendance if possible. This would be double
from the numbers of last year. - 15k, 10k, 7500 5k, 2500, 250 will be the sponsorship levels this year.
o Goal is to not do an auction but to have the sponsorships cover the need. An
auction will be added if needed. Auction usually brings in 15-20K. - Kris Millerberg brought up the options that while we are focused on our district area, we
will have opportunity to connect and include other districts that are around us. It would
be an opportunity to reach beyond Canyon’s boundaries. - Thanks expressed to Kris Millerberg as her time on the Foundation Board will be ending at
the close of 2024.
