The Foundation Innovation Grant online application for the 2024-25 school year is now available. Applications for grants from $1,000 to $10,000 will be accepted now through Sept 27, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Grants will be awarded in November. Individual or teams can apply.
What is an Innovation Grant?
Innovation Grants are awarded to recognize and support excellence in teaching by providing funds to enhance school curriculum. Canyons District educators are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to directly impact the classroom, encourage students and raise the bar on exemplary teaching methods. Project requests can be between $1,000 – $10,000. A grant request for funding of less than $1,000 should be loaded on DonorsChoose.org for private or Foundation funding.
Who can apply?
All full-time school-based educators (individual or teams) in Canyons School District are eligible to apply for funding to implement worthwhile and innovative projects related to student achievement. Please review the Foundation Innovation Grant Scoring Rubric before submitting your application. A budget sheet is required with detailed itemization of items requested including any shipping charges. Applications due by 5:00 p.m., Friday, September 27, 2024.
Innovation Grant Awards
Please notify your principal that you are submitting a Foundation Innovation Grant. A copy of your application will be emailed to your principal. Awarded project materials and equipment becomes the property of Canyons School District and must follow fixed asset guidelines for tagging and transferring to other locations. If a team receives a winning grant, the equipment must stay in the school where the grant originated. All applications are reviewed by district technology, curriculum and purchasing directors to ensure requested items follow approved guidelines. Final award decisions are made by the Canyons Education Foundation Innovation Grant Committee. A report on the impact of the project is required by May 15, 2025.
