- Teacher of the Year just wrapped up. It was awesome to see our teachers shine.
- District wise we are getting ready to head into negotiations.
- Pickleball tournament is coming up. Excited to have some fun and raise money

- Review of the Canyons Foundation website and where notices, agendas and minutes are posted.

GALA 2025 Debrief- Greg Summerhays, Committee Chair
- Thank you to everyone for all the hard work. The GALA was very successful. We ended up making $90,000, so it was a great success.
- Venue was the best we’ve ever had. Sound and spacing was great. The Zion’s team was wonderful and easy to work with. Multiple buffet lines were wonderful to move everyone through in a very timely manner.
- The mingling, energy and excitement in the room was wonderful.
- The fireside chat was very interesting and educational. There were mixed reviews on the fireside chat. We need to be sensitive to the varied interests in the room. Take away is that the moderator needs to be from the board to be able to pull the chat back to the guidelines that we want.
- Student Choir was wonderful, sound carried well to all attendees.
- Heads and Tails game went well but we could do a little better with advertising to get the word out about participation.
- Opportunity Drawings got positive feedback. Auction wasn’t missed and amount raised was higher than previous years.
- Can we have a VIP Day to schedule tours of the innovation center. We would like to get input from other businesses as to what is needed.
- Scholarship videos didn’t work well so we pivoted to a brief announcement of the winners. Possibly add individual recognition of each winner but keeping the description of scholarship winners to a group as a whole. Possible video vignettes to highlight each student.
- Next year just have 1 photobooth instead of 2.
- Have the MC work the crowd to encourage more donation and purchasing of items, games.
- Maybe have an additional open house moment where we can showcase the innovation center and what all it will have to offer. Make it an experience that VIPs will want to go to.
- Plan on having it at the Zion’s center again in 2026, per Mike they will be willing to host it again.
